Stroller Dilemma

I have a few questions for anyone who has ever had or ever used a double stroller. Did you like it-or not like it? What kind did you get?

I am looking into buying a double stroller for my two kiddos. Max lost his opportunity to walk through the stores the second he did it-I realized that without the Dad around (or an extra eye from the Nana), Max really needs to be contained in the stores. He is so small I loose him very quickly and that terrifies me-I am a worrier about kids being stolen. (I still worry that I might get stolen -crazy I know-but it is true.-Thanks Mom!)

I have been very close to buying the Graco dou glider-I like that it is tandem (easier to get through shopping racks) and it can hold a baby carrier-for the littlest one. I just don't know if Max is too big for it already-in his eyes anyway. I have also seen the Sit-n-stand-which would be great for Max...but I am not sure about Kaysie. The front bar has to be removed and replaced in order to put the baby carrier on. I didn't think this would be bad- I thought I'd just lay Kaysie in it- but apparently it doesn't lay flat and she can't sit up yet... blah, blah, blah!

So I have a dilemma on my hands. I don't want to spend a fortune on a stroller when I have a great one kid seater and I don't know how long I'll need a double. If anyone has had experience with any kind of double stroller-please let me know.

How fun to be with you guys for a few days! You have an adorable family! I didn't use my double stroller at all. It was a monster. So heavy that I hated it. My advice? Get the lightest one on the market.

I also hated my double stroller. It was so big and heavy. I wouldn't recommend it. I was with my cousin a year ago and she had an amazing stroller for her two kids and I wish I had know about it earlier, I would have spent the money on it when I had 2 kids, instead of all the ones I bought with each kid. It is Phil and Ted I believe. They are VERY expensive but maybe worth it since you will use it for a long time still. Very light and easy to use/fold. It has a seat under it for toddlers. I loved it and wish I had one.

I used the Graco duo double stroller. It wasn't bad. I liked that it held Kennedy's carseat (when she was little) and the plastic cup holder thing came off the front for Hailey (so she felt more like a big girl, not so caged in). She used it until she was 3 1/2 (or so). Definitely keep your single one. Once Hailey did get big enough to walk in stores, I used my single one way more. Just a different opinion - but I'm glad I didn't spend any more money on the double stroller than I did, just because I didn't use it for as long as I thought I would.

You are welcome to use my double stroller that fits through clothing racks. You can't put the carseat in it, but it does lay down. I use a double jogger stroller that I am absolutely in love with. Just let me know. If you want to not spend any money to just get you through this stage, let me know. You are welcome to it!! It is just sitting in my garage. If you want it, I would love to bring it to you so I could come kiss that sweet baby!

Well, brian would be laughing so hard at me right now... I offically owned 5 strollers last summer, unbrella, graco regular one (for the infant car seat), my in-between stroller that was like an umbrealla stroller with storage, my graco double stroller and then I got a sit-and stand wihtout brian knowing.... he locked up the box and wouldn't let me assemble it until I got rid of "at least half" of my strollers. So... I let my friend Kristin use two for now for her little kiddo's... then I sweet talked him into letting me open the sit and stand.... I LOVE IT!

Layla can sit and yes you can put a infant car seat in the front too, the back has a sliding seat so you can move it to get your bags out etc and if Calli i naughty there are staps to keep her sitting but honestly she is in and out, sits just fine in it and stands and hold on to the handles, it's worked well for us and Calli doesn't feel like she is stuck. I did ton's of research on it and it's a ton smaller than the other sit and stands folded, it fits just fine in my trunk.

It's smaller than my graco double stroller and I am not fighting the grils constantly. I hated the traditional double strollers becuase the heaviest one had to sit in the back or it didn't push well. Calli hated sitting in the back, couldn't see so I would put her in the front, then Layla would pull her hair! So... This was a simple solution and I figure I will at least get a couple more years out of it! We will see. I got the orange and it's super cute. Enough..... Sorry!
