This last week has been a crazy one. I had to be gone all day Tuesday and Wednesday. All I can say is thank goodness for my family! My Mom was so great and watched my kids all day Tuesday and my awesome Sister watched them all day Wednesday. I had to leave so early that I had to drop my kiddos off in their pajamas and Mom and Cari were then in charge of getting my kids ready and getting Max to and from school. I can't tell you how much I appreciate them-without their help I wouldn't have been able to go. Thanks so much!
With that said I need to share a few things my kids learned over the two days without me....
Day 1
My Dad's favorite snack is cheese, he is always giving Kaysie snacks and those snacks include cheese. Kaysie's new favorite word: (you guessed it) CHEESE!
Day 2
Anyone that knows my nephew Hudson knows that he wants to be a cowboy and loves to play 'guns.' My daughter came home from Hudson's house and now pretends to shoot a gun. She says very softly "pow, pow" as she points at you. It cracks me up! Max doesn't really have an interest in toy guns unless he is playing with Hudson-but Kaysie has found a new favorite game. She has shot us all at least hundred times over!
Before leaving my kiddos on Wednesday I had a chat with Max about being nice to Hudson, don't fight with Hudson, don't pick on Kaysie (they don't want her around them when they are playing-duh Mom), help Aunt Cari, etc, etc. When I picked my kids up I asked how everything went, Cari told me that Max and Hudson had a great time together. So Wednesday night as I was putting Max to bed I told him that I appreciated him being so good the last few days without me. I then asked him if he really was good the whole time he was at Cari's house. (Max always snitches on himself) He told me, "Well....Hudson wanted to fight but I said to him, my Mom said I'm not supposed to fight. So I didn't." Haha! Like he really listens to what I say- 'cause it's always stopped him before. ;)

Aren't families the best? Hope you enjoyed your time away! It always seems to help me appreciate my little guys more after I've had a short "break" from them... I guess it's true what they say, "absence makes the heart grow fonder"!
